Kwara Assembly re-investigates Moro fertiliser scandal
The Kwara State House of Assembly has started efforts to re-investigate alleged diversion of fertiliser in Moro local government area.
The Deputy Speaker of the House, Mr Mathew Okedare gave the assurance at a plenary while reacting to a petition on the fertiliser scandal as presented by Adebayo Mohammed who represents Malete-lpaiye-Oloru constituency.
The lawmaker presented a petition written by Mr Akanbi Benjamin who was the supervisor for agriculture in the LGA in 2010 during the scandal. The deputy speaker who presided over plenary, said the House would re-investigate the scandal and directed the House Committee on Agriculture and Natural Resources to start the process.
