Support, pray for change mantra, Hon Zakari urges Baruten people

The people of Baruten Local Government Area of Kwara State have been advised to remain loyal to the present administration at the Federal and Kwara State levels. A member of the House of Representative representing Baruten / Kaiama Federal Constituency, Hon. Zakari Mohammed gave the advice in Gure weekend.

Speaking at this year's Gure Day, the lawmaker urged the people to support and pray for the change mantra of the Buhari administration as well as Gov Ahmed and Senate President Bukola Saraki who is also APC leader in Kwara State.

Also speaking at the occasion, the speaker of the Kwara State House of Assembly, Hon. Ali Ahmad applauded the rich cultural heritage of the people and urged them to continue to embrace its values and impact it to the youth. He commended the people over the uniqueness of their display which he said was capable of sparking off innovations among youth.

Earlier in his address, the Chief of Gure, Alhaji Abdullahi Kilishi called on his people to always embrace their culture and be proud of it as it fosters unity, peace and harmonious relations.

He explained that Gure Day was set aside to promote decent values, respect for elders and tolerance for one another and thanked them for keeping faith with the day.
