Kwara LP exco suspended over greed

Date: 2016-02-19

The Kwara State Labour Party executive, headed by Mr. Johnson Babalola, has been suspended.

This was done in Ilorin, the state capital, by its national chieftain, Mr. Adi Shirsha.

According to report, the action was taken after the executive was found ineffective and greedy.

Shirsha described instances of the party’s Secretary and purported Deputy-Governorship aspirant, Abdulmumini Onagun, who used the party organ for personal gain, as selfish.

A three-man panel has since been set up for the party’s office and properties, till a caretaker structure is put in place, before the party congress, where decisions would be taken on the way forward.

Shirsha said the national team got a report from Kwara State that they had been sidelined since the excos were put in place.
