An officer with the Kwara State Road Traffic Management Authority (KWARTMA), Mr. Dada Taiwo Daniel has received an award for dedication to duty and excellence in controlling traffic.

The award of recognition of excellent performance of duty was presented to the recipient by the Chief Executive Officer of KWARTMA, Bello Yekini Babatunde during their monthly briefing and re-orientation for the officers and staff of the management on their activities and performances in the past weeks held in Ilorin, weekend.

Bello said that the recipient was honoured for his consistency in high performance in his line of duties and extolled him for discharging his duties without complaining.

Bello added that he was proud of the officer and called on him to keep up the good work, even as he challenged other staff to emulate him.

Dada Taiwo Daniel was recognized for his uprightness to duty by some motorists at his duty post, Stadium Junction, along Irewolede Road, Ilorin, where he controls traffic with passion, agility, commitment, pride and respect to the road users even when they contravened his order.

"Coupled with these qualities, he smiles and greets motorists without expecting any gratification. It is our hope that such public-friendly performance from young, hardworking officer should be recognized and encouraged", they added. Responding, Dada thanked the people for believing in him and said that he was ready to work tirelessly for the progress of the state.

He dedicated the award to God, his colleagues and the Chief Executive officer of the Management for giving him the support and co-operation while discharging his duties.

" appeal to other officers and men of the command to make more sacrifice for an efficient service to the entire people of the state," he said.
