Kwara United FC of Ilorin's preparation has entered the set mode for the 2015/2016 Nigeria National League (NNL) season, whereby the club management have been charged to recruit good players and also motivate them well to ensure the team return to the Premier League without delay.
The call was made by the supporters and fans club of the team, as well as some stakeholders, at the meeting called at the instance of the Chairman, Prince Oladimeji Thompson last weekend.
While briefing the supporters and fans on the challenges ahead, especially considering the target set for the team this season, Prince Oladimeji Thompson called for their support and advice, even as he sought their collaboration in the achievement of the set objective.
Prince Oladimeji said that the Technical Adviser, coach John Sam Obuh was picked on merit not because he has done it before with the team, but because he has the experience to repeat the feat again.
He urged all stakeholders particularly the supporters and fans of the club to cooperate in the task of re-positioning the team for better results.
He expressed the determination of the team to gain promotion to the Premier League.
The Chairman used the occasion to address various issues affecting the team, stressing that all stakeholders would be carried along to achieve the necessary results.
He charged supporters and fans clubs to close ranks and work together in line with the objectives of the club, as he also assured them of the support of the club.
Former Chairman of Kwara Football Association, Alhaji Moshood Lanre Jaji, Chairman of supporters club, Alhaji Tunde and the Chairman of fans club, Saheed Ayinde all commended the Chairman for initiating the meeting and also pledged total support to the club.
They urged the club to sign tested players, which according to them, is a pre-condition for the realisation of the set objectives.
