Kwara State House of Assembly speaker, Dr. Ali Ahmad has charged the Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC) not to compromise its integrity and embark on effective enlightenment of road users to curb road carnage in Nigeria. He gave the advice in Ilorin when he received a delegation of the FRSC state command in his office.

Ahmad, who was represented by the House leader, Alhaji Hassan Oyeleke, noted with displeasure that the nation had lost her enormous human and material resources to incessant avoidable road mishaps and urged the FRSC to always ensure strict adherence to traffic rules as well as embark on enlightenment to eliminate the mystery usually associated with ember months.

He assured that the 8th legislature under his leadership would continue to collaborate with the FRSC and other stakeholders in checking incessant road carnage in the state by providing enabling environment for the commission and other stakeholders to perform optimally.

The lawmaker promised that the House would remain committed to addressing issues affecting the socio-economic well-being of the people.

Earlier, the FRSC Commandant Airport Road Unit, Mr. Adeiza Usman, who led the delegation, had enumerated the challenges confronting the commission and solicited the support of the House at tackling road mishaps, especially in the ember months.
