Hajj: Airlift Of Pilgrims From Ilorin Zone Commences Today

Date: 2015-08-23

The Airlift of intending pilgrims for this year's pilgrimage to Meccah and Madinah from Ilorin zone will commence today.

The executive secretary, Kwara State Muslims Pilgrims Board, Hajia Fatimoh Jimoh, disclosed this during an interview with newsmen in Ilorin.

Hajia Jimoh added that arrangement has been made with the state carrier, Flynas, to make available 500 configuration aircrafts that could enhance the airlift of the pilgrims in four batches.

She sued for the cooperation of the intending pilgrims to ensure a hitch-free exercise.

Hajia Jimoh said that adequate accommodation arrangement had been made for the comfort of the pilgrims in the Holy Land.

She, however, counselled them on the virtue of perseverance and need to be prayerful while in the Holy Land and also reminded them of the need to abide by the rules and regulations of the exercise and conduct themselves properly by being Nigeria's good ambassadors.

Also, the National Missioner of Ansarul Islam Society of Nigeria, Sheikh AbdulMumeen Ayara, said Hajj which is the fifth pillar of Islam offers the intending pilgrims a great opportunity to further move closer to Allah. He encouraged them to desist from any bad conduct capable of denting the image of the country thereby rendering the exercise invalid.
