Kwara Poly students on rampage. Block old Jebba rd

Date: 2012-05-25

Students of Kwara State Polytechnic residing at Elekoyangan this morning blocked old Jebba Road that connects Sango with Kwara Polytechnic, University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital and Oke-Oyi. They are protesting weeks of lack of water and lack of power due to a damaged transformer.

One of the students, who pleaded to remain anonymous, said they had severally appealed to the government to come to their aid and replace the damaged transformer as lack of power supply was making studying very difficult. As at the time of this report traffic had built up on both ends of the road.
