Date: 2015-01-14

With few weeks to the February 2015 general elections in Nigeria, teachers and students of public schools in Asa Local Government Area of Kwara State have declared their support for the House of Representatives ambition of Barr. Razak Atunwa as they unanimously endorsed him for the position.

The teachers under the aegis of Nigerian Union of Teachers- Asa local government chapter declared their support for Barrister Atunwa during the donation of educational support materials to twenty government schools selected from different parts of the local government.

The population of over 100 teachers and students who converged at LGEA Office Hall in Afon said they were strongly convinced by the gesture of Atunwa toward educational development, that he would serve the constituency better than he had done in other political offices held if he wins in the forthcoming election, hence their endorsement.

The Chairman of the Union in Asa, Mr. Balogun who spoke on behalf of the teachers group said the teachers endorsed Atunwa based on his honest concern and robust contribution to the education sector in the local government.
