Former Security Adviser in Kwara State, Mr Yinka Ahmed Aluko, has reacted to media reports, that his candidacy as Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) senatorial candidate for Kwara Central has been reversed.

He noted that there was a court order restraining the PDP from submitting the name of Abdulrahman Abdulrasaq or the name of any other person rather than him to the Independent National Electoral Commission pending the hearing and determination of a substantive motion he instituted before an Ilorin High Court.

The court also granted his plea for an order of interim injunction, restraining INEC, its servants, agents, privies and or any persons acting for it from accepting, receiving and countenancing with the name of and or treating or regarding Abdulrahman Abdulrasaq and or the name of any other person rather him as the Kwara Central Senatorial Candidate for the PDP for the purpose of the February, 2015 National Assembly election pending the hearing and determination of the substantive motion.

Aluko's application for an order of interim injunction restraining Abdulrahman Abdulrasaq from parading, presenting and or addressing himself as the Kwara Central Senatorial candidate of PDP for the purpose of the February, 2015 National Assembly election pending the hearing and determination of the substantive motion was also granted.
