Offa Poly deputy rector, others get second term
The Governing Council of the Federal Polytechnic Offa (FEDPOFFA) has ratified the reappointment of three principal officers of the polytechnic for a second term.
The three officers are Deputy Rector (Administration) Dr Kuburat Olaosebikan, Registrar Mr AbdulHamid Raji and Bursar Mr Paul Kehinde Adegbemi.
The reappointment, ratified by the Okey Ezenwa-led governing council, which takes effect from April 19, January 2 and March 15, 2015, will last for four years.
Dr Olaosebikan, who was born in June 1950 studied at ECWA Girls Secondary School, Omu Aran (1973-1977); School of Basic Studies, Kwara State College of Technology, Ilorin; and the University of Ibadan, Oyo, where she bagged a degree in English in 1983.
She attended the University of Port Harcourt (1988-1989, PGDE), University of Ibadan (1999, Master in Communication Arts); and the International University Honolulu, Hawaii, United States of America (PhD in Communications).
She joined FEDPOFFA in 1992 as Lecturer 1 and rose to become a Chief Lecturer.
On his part, the Registrar, Mr Raji was born 55 years ago in Benin City, Edo State where he attended the Edaiken Ahmadiyya Primary School, Benin City (1966-1971), Hussey College, Warri (1972-1976), Ilorin Grammar School, Ilorin (1976-1977) and Federal Government College, Ilorin (1977-1979).
He studied History at the University of Ilorin (1980-1983), where he also earned a Master in Public Administration (1995-1997). He was appointed registrar in January 2010.
The Bursar, Mr. Adegbemi, who hails from Ogun State attended St. Patrick Primary School, Yaba, Lagos State (1965-1970), St. Anthony Grammar School, Ijebu-Mushin, Ogun State (1971-1975) and St. Finbarr's College, Akoka, Yaba (1975-1977).
He read Finance at the University of Lagos (1982) and earned an MBA from the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Osun State in 2008.
He joined FEDPOFFA in 1992 and became Bursar in 2009.
