ABS FC pip 3SC, thank fans, supporters

Abubakar Bukola Saraki FC yesterday defeated Shooting Stars Sports Club 1-0 in their last home match of the 2013/2014 Nigeria National League (NNL).

The lone goal was scored in the 18th minute by Mohammed Mohammed, who noded home a low cross from Ikeleji Bello.

The win means that ABS FC now have 43 points from 29 matches.

Efforts by ABS FC to increase the tally proved abortive, as the visitors did much to ensure that the homers did not add to the goal.

3SC played as if there was nothing at stake, especially in the first half, leaving the youthful ABS FC players do the playing, dominating in all department. The team was also denied three penalty appeals, as 3SC defenders handled the ball on three ocassions in the vital area.

The General Manager of ABS FC, Alloy Chukwuemeka commended the players for their display.

He also commended the fans and supporters for staying with the team till the end, despite the challenges.

'We also want to thank all the stakeholders for their support to the team this season, even as he charged them to continue to support the team.

Chukwuemeka commended Saraki for the opportunity he gave the youths to realise their ambition.
