Ahmed cautions military on politics

Date: 2014-10-14

Governor Abdulfatah Ahmed of Kwara State, yesterday, charged Nigerian military to continue to resist every temptation to interfere in the nation's democratic governance.

The governor also advised officers and men of the armed forces to always make professionalism their watchword and avoid being lured into politics in the interest of the nation's stability.

Ahmed spoke when he received participants of Course 23 of the National Defence College, Abuja who paid him a courtesy visit in Ilorin.

"As one of the nation's most respected institutions, you must guard your professionalism at all times and insulate yourself from political manipulation that goes contrary to national interest", he said.
