Members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Kwara State, have staged a protest against the leadership of the party in the state over alleged imposition and swearing-in of a factional local government party chairman in the Ilorin West Local Government Area of the state against court ruling.

The PDP members, in their hundreds, stormed a hotel in Ilorin, where the state party executive members were holding a meeting and carried placards to express their grievance and opposition to the action of their leaders.

Olosasa described the inauguration of Olugbon-led executive despite a subsisting court order stopping same as illegal and a rape of justice.

"But to our dismay, the Kwara PDP chairman, attempted to swear-in Amuda Olugbon-led executive on Tuesday, August 26, 2014. That unpopular attempt was resisted by the majority of members of the PDP from Ilorin West on the fateful day.

"As a result of this stalemate, especially the palpable fear that Chief Iyiola, in cohort with some chieftains of the PDP in the state was going to inaugurate the illegal executive committee led by Yusuf Amuda Olugbon, I, on behalf of other members of my executive approached the Kwara State High Court for redress and got an order of court dated September 1, 2014 restraining the leadership of the PDP from swearing in Yusuf Amuda Olugbo-led factional executives pending the determination of the substantive suit. The said court order was effectively served on the PDP yesterday, 2nd September 2014.
