Date: 2014-09-03

The Kwara South Youths Stakeholders' Forum comprising of seven local government councils of Kwara South senatorial district of Kwara State, have appealed to the senator representing Kwara Central senatorial district at the national assembly and leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state, Senator Bukola Saraki, to consider the laudable achievements of the state governor, Alhaji Abdufatah Ahmed, in office, in the last three and half years and allow him to continue in 2015.

Addressing a press conference at Ajase-Ipo in Irepodun Local Government Council of the state on yesterday, the spokesperson, Mr. Sunkanmi Ereoye, said that "the leader of the APC, Senator Saraki, should also know that giving the state governor, Alhaji Ahmed, a second term in office would bring equity, justice and fair play to the governance of the state".

According to him, "the achievements of governor Ahmed in office remains unprecedented that and the APC leadership should assist him to complete it, so as to add more values to the socio-economic development of the state."

Ereoye said:"We are proud of the achievements of governor Ahmed in his first term in office and fully support him in the interest of fair play and continuity.

"We, the youths, have benefited in a big way from the state bridge empowerment scheme that translated into permanent jobs created by this administration, the reduction in fees at the Kwara State University, the empowerment of artisans with N100m by governor Ahmed and we want Senator Saraki to give him a chance to continue the good works he has started."

The youths spokesperson added, "we remain loyal to Senator Saraki for his inclusive leadership style to our amiable governor Ahmed, to our solid party structure and stakeholders of the APC in Kwara."

On the recent disturbance at the meeting of the Kwara South Elders' Forum of APC held in the town, Ereoye said, "ten of us then went to the venue of the meeting and on getting there, we could not agree on the mode of participation at the meeting, this led to the unfortunate fracas at the meeting."
