Kwara academy welcomes private, govt partnership - Kumbi

Date: 2014-08-15

The Director of Kwara Football Academy, Mr. Kumbi Titiloye says the door is open for governments, corporate sponsors and philanthropists to partner with the institution to help uplift Nigeria's sports sector.

Titiloye, who made the call in an interview with Daily Trust in Ilorin, also added that other foreign nationals are coming into the country to take advantage of what the academy provides in terms of combining education and sporting aspirations.

"Developing sports is very important anywhere you go and it is something that needs concerted efforts hence our call to various governments, corporate bodies and philanthropists to contribute their quota towards sports development by helping our institution in whatever way they can" the director said.

Since its inception in 2005, the academy's aim has been to train footballers between the ages of 13 and 21 years to compete favourably with their counterparts at international levels.
