Emir of Ilorin and Chairman Kwara State Traditional Council, Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, has called on the Muslim faithful across the nation to continue to embark on fervent prayers so as to return of the much desired peaceful atmosphere to the country.

Gambari made the call in Ilorin on Monday shortly after the two rakats prayer led by the Chief Imam of Ilorin, Alhaji Muhammad Bashir Soliu was held at Ilorin Eid praying ground along Irewolede road, Ilorin to mark the end of this year Ramadan fasting.

He called for sober reflection among believers, stressing that there is "peace in unity."

The monarch also said the festive period should not be limited to rejoicing with family members rather, "The occasion should be used to reflect on the ways the country can overcome its challenges.

He said, "Let us love one another. Let us demonstrate high levels of charity to our the needy most especially Orphans, widows among others. There is strength in unity, there is peace in love and there is growth in patriotism".
