Press Release: Success of APC Congress in Kwara

Date: 2014-04-26

Beginning with the ward congress, to the local government congress and now the state congress, members of the All Progressive Congress, not only in Kwara but across the country have demonstrated high commitment to change and strong desire for a better Nigeria, I congratulate us all on this success.

No doubt, the peaceful and well organized atmosphere, high decorum and sense of responsibility displayed by the delegates and everybody present at the congress send a positive signal to Nigeria at large that APC conveys the master plan containing the hope, dreams and aspirations of Nigerians which will practically change the nation at the shortest delay and that with sacrifice and love to one another, yes, we can do it.

However, we must be aware that the journey to Nigeria's liberation is just beginning; thus, we must remain unshaken, determined, and focused in the struggle for a better Nigeria. We must not relent at this junction, because our dark days are almost over, and the dawn is here.? For those who have predicted that the Kwara state congress will be marred with crisis or violence, or that we would not be able able to accommodate or work with each other, the successful outcome of the state congress has proved them wrong. Our is a commitment and sacrifice of purpose and unity. Therefore, having recorded well structured and patterned ward, LG and state congresses with overwhelming turn out, I charge all delegates and all newly elected executives at various levels in Kwara state and Nigeria at large to uphold the dignity and credibility of the party to ensure the party does not derail from its vision. And mission which is to create a better Nigeria.

Once again, I congratulate all progressives, I also appreciate national delegates that came to Kwara state, the entire executive members of our party in Kwara state which has been elected- I urge you not only to uphold the party's dignity but to also rescue Nigeria from destruction by winning more people to join the progressive train of APC.

Today, we have set a new history; today, we have shown others that we are truly progressive; today, we have shown them that a better Nigeria is possible- the change is here!Long Live APC! Long Live Kwara! Long Live Nigeria!

Signed
Senator Abubakar Bukola Saraki
