The Kwara State Director General, Bureau of Lands, Mr Tope Daramola has promised to give maximum support and cooperation to the new state Executive Secretary of the Town Planning D velopment Authority, TPL Raimi Adeoti.

Daramola said this when the new Executive Secretary and his managemen t team paid him a courtesy visit on Wednesday, last week.

He said the existence of the Authority is very tangential to the operations of the Bureau of Lands.

The DG added that the cooperation between the two organizations is paramotmt to the success of the present administration in the state.

Daramola called for a synergy involving the Bureau, Town Planning Development Authority, Surveyor General Office and the Ministry of Housing and Urban Development with a view to placing the state on the map of the globe.

He said the cooperation between the Bureau and the Town Planning Authority is paramount because of the Encroachers on the Government Acquired Lands.

Daramola advised the Authority to took at those buildings by the bank of Asa River and called for regularisation before is too late.

Earlier, the Executive Secretary of the Authority had called for the support and collaboration of the Bureau, as it is charged with the administration of lands in the state, adding that the Town Planning is charged with what is to be on lands.

He promised that any noticed shortcoming would be looked into, saying he would not hesitate to revoke any approval that is not in line with the state government policy.
