The Vice Chancellor of the University of Ilorin, Prof. AbdulGaniy Ambali has commended the Kwara State Gov. Dr. Abdulfatah Ahmed, over the payment of bursary award to indigenous students of the institution.

The Vice Chancellor who was represented by the Dean, Students Affairs, Prof. A.O. Omotesho, stated this while receiving the team of the State Scholarship Board, led by its Chairman Hon. Isiaka Mogaji.

He appreciated the state governor's commitment to the welfare of Kwara indigenes across the country and assuring the institution's support to the present administration in the state.

Earlier in his address, The  Chairman of the Kwara State Scholarship Board, Hon. Isiaka Mogaji, thanked the management of the institution for their warm reception. He equally used the occasion to reinstate the commitment of Kwara State governor to the development of education in particular and well-being of the people of the state in general.

According to him"Governor Abdulfatah Ahmed is a listening governor who is ready to meet the yearnings  of the people of the state.

Mogaji, a former lawmaker at the Kwara State House of Assembly, specifically lauded  management of the Institution for maintaining stable academic calender and its approach towards instilling discipline in the students, saying that “no wonder the institution is tagged better by far university".

While assuring the management of the institution of the readiness of the Board to perform its constitutional role properly, he urged the students of the institution to cooperate with the team to ensure the success of the exercise.
