Press Release: PDP Leaders are deceitful - Kwara APC

Date: 2014-02-23

The Kwara State chapter of the All Progressives Congress, APC, has said the declaration by Leaders of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, that the APC is "dead on arrival" in the State is deceitful and frustration-induced.

The vituperation by PDP Leaders at the rally held at Lower River Basin, Ilorin to say the least, is deceitful and frustration-induced. How can any reasonable person describe a party that mobilized about 400,000 Kwarans within two months as a dead party? Do they know what a dead party is? The deserted PDP without any structure in the state is an example of a dead party.

The gang up against our party and party leaders is a badly arranged pack of cards which is bound to scatter. Some of the unguarded statements credited to PDP Leaders underscore their civilities and intelligence. We had expected a party that is supposedly on a mission to take over power from our party to reveal superior ideas on how to better govern the state. The gathering was a jamboree with no meaningful impact or consolidation plans for the people of the State.

Despite facts that people were mobilized from 16 Local governments with cash and yet-to-be fulfilled promises, it couldn't save them from the huge disappointment the rally represent.

The APC is a formidable party and Kwarans will continue to enjoy the benefits of their unflinching supports to the Government of Kwara State and our party.

Alhaji Sulymon Buhari,
Interim Publicity Secretary, APC, Kwara State.
