The Kwara State Police command at the weekend paraded seven armed robbery suspects in connection with three robbery incidents in Ilorin, the state capital and its environs.

Also paraded was a suspected thief, Jimoh Isiaka, who allegedly specialised in stealing bags of cement by breaking into cement shops.

Sunday Trust gathered that Isiaka was reported to the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) unit on January 23 for allegedly breaking into a cement shop at Awodi Area, Gambari, Ilorin and stealing 40 bags of cement.

The state Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Mr. Okasanmi Ajayi, who paraded the suspect on behalf of Commissioner of Police, Agboola Oshodi-Glover said in the course of investigation, detectives were able to uncover the store where the suspect used to keep stolen cement.

No fewer than 114 bags of Dangote cement were found to have been kept in the store, while a Mitsubishi Gallant car with registration number AA 541KJN was recovered from the suspect.

The Police spokesman said the case was still under investigation, adding that the suspect would be charged to court.

In other cases of criminal conspiracy and armed robbery, three suspects - Gagere Dangog, Bajini Amadu and Baduga Budu - were also arrested in action on January 23 after robbing their victims.

Exhibits recovered from them included one single barrel gun, two dane guns, one live cartridge, one cutlass, two hand sets and cash.
