Date: 2012-05-02

Students of the Kwara State University this morning continued their protest against the Univeristy's decision to enforce her course registration deadline. The students who are obviously unware the University has conceded to their demands set up bonfires on the road leading to campus. University staff and other road users were sent back.

The University, in a statement on her website, stated the "the Vice Chancellor in his usual magnanimity has approved that they can now register for courses.".

The full text of the statement follows

This is to inform all students who had paid their fees as at Monday 26th March, 2012 deadline for course registration but failed to register for reasons best known to them, that the Vice Chancellor in his usual magnanimity has approved that they can now register for courses.

Accordingly, all affected Students in this category are requested to present their payment tellers to the Bursary immediately and carry out their course registration for the 2011/2012 Rain Semester.

It is important to note, that only duly registered students shall be recognized as bonafide students of KWASU.
