The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Offa Local Government Area of Kwara State has said the party would continue to work harder in order to mobilise more members into its fold so as to ensure the electoral victory of the party in the future elections in the state.

The party also pledged their unalloyed support to the national working committee led by Alhaji Bamanga Tukur and President Goodluck Jonathan to move the party to greater heights.

¨In a communique issued in Offa Tuesday after the end of the meeting of the party the leadership of the party in the local government said it would continue to remain one in order to move the party forward. The communique which was signed by the spokesman of the party in the area Chief Ayotunde Raji, a copy of which was made available to journalists in Ilorin, enjoined the members of the party in the council not to entertain any fear in view of the recent defection of some leaders of the party to the All Progressives Congress (APC). According to the communique," the development would assist the members of the party to brace up so as to strengthen the party for future success.

The communique also lauded the decision of some members of the APC in the council who defected to the PDP.

The PDP said the defectors would be given equal treatment with the old members of the party so as to ensure the electoral victory of the party in the future polls in the state.

They therefore advised the defectors to continue to be loyal to the party, saying that they would not regret defecting to the party in the council.
