The Kwara state Land Charge amendment bill twenty thirteen which was sent to the state House of Asembly by Governor AbdulFatah Ahmed in September, 2013 has been passed into law.

The House passed the bill after the adoption of the report of its Committee on Land, Housing and Urban Development on the bill.

Presenting the report, the Committee's Chairman, Dr. Felicia Ojeleye of PDP said all stakeholders supported the passage of the bill, while The Clerk of the House, Mr. Oyetunde Oyeniyi later read the bill for the third time and final passage took place.

The Clerk while reading the bill said the prescribed Land Charge Tribunal should be set up by the state Government which should be a five-year tenure, noting that the bill provides rules and regulation to be abide with by the Tribunal.

The Speaker, Hon. Rasaq Atunwa however directed the Clerk of the House to produce a clean copy of the bill for Governor AbdulFatah Ahmed's assent.
