Opinion:PHCN and poor installations by Ganiyu Shittu
A recent heavy rain in Offa, Kwara State, with its attendant storm has destroyed the newly installed electric poles and the mini transformers attached with the poles. This has rendered the entire town without light, worst still some other poles are in the dangling stage of being pulled down. Concern is seriously being expressed as the successor companies of the Power Holding Company of Nigeria have not shown any interest in repairing the damaged poles so that normal electricity be restored to the town.
