The measure, according to the state governor, Alhaji Abdulfatah Ahmed, is to contain the rising security threats in the state.

Ahmed was responding to an  alarm raised by the Chief Executive Officer, Yolas Construction Company Ltd, Engr. The Third Estate Chairman said poverty is pervading the society, and appealed to the leaders to do the right things as enjoined by God and  enshrined in the constitution.

Lawal also called on the Ilorin Emirate Descendants Progressive Union, all stakeholders in the emirate, the Government and people of the State to consciously, adequately and comprehensively aggregate all the concerns and interests of the people before articulating a fair representation that would make input on behalf of the state at the proposed National Conference.
