Press Release: Owode Market Inferno: Kwara APC Reacts.

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kwara State has identified with the people who lost valuable assets to the recent fire outbreak at Owode Market in Offa, Kwara State.

The party noted that Owode Market is a major economic nerve and platform for economic activities and development in Kwara State.

In a statement issued by its Publicity Secretary, Alhaji Sulyman Buhari, the party said, "We are deeply concerned and we share in the pains and griefs of all marketers who lost valuable assets and goods to the fire outbreak".

"On this note, we extend the hands of sympathy to the Oloofa of Offa, HRM, Oba Mufutau Gbadamosi, the people of Offa with special mention to the marketers who lost valuable assets to the fire inferno.

"Meanwhile, we are pleased to note that no life was lost to fire accident and we urged the people to find solace in the fact that they have elected a responsible and responsive APC-led government in Kwara State, a government that will always stand by its people.

"Also, we commend the kindness and magnanimity of individuals who have made donation of money and relief materials, and groups who have provided succour to the victims of Owode market fire incident.

"Like Governor Abdulfatah Ahmed as promised, we assure the people of Offa that the incident will be reviewed with a view to preventing a recurrence"
