The ex-council men, in a writ of summons were prayed the court to order the affected Local Government Councils to pay their outstanding salaries and allowances for four months.

  The plaintiffs were Hon.

Bola Ogunbiyi, Idris Muhammed, Gboyega Amototo, Issa Sanusi, Busari Jimoh, Olatunji Michael, Dele Ogunleye, Abolarin Amos, Dada Olumise, Suleiman Ajidadi, Saadu Momoh, Peter Buraimoh and Taofik Obanguru.

  The suit, filed before Justice Emimoroji Mohammed of Ilorin High Court, contained facts to the effect that the salaries for the months of March, April, May and June 2003 were not paid, 12 years after living office.

  The ex-council chairmen were praying the court to order 13 local government councils to pay their outstanding salaries and allowances and declare refusal to pay them 12 years after “was wrong and illegal”.

The Council Areas which were the Respondents were Ekiti, Irepodun, Oyun, Kaiama, Edu, Ilorin West, Ilorin South, Oke Ero, Moro, Patigi, Ifelodun and Offa.
