Yinka Aluko promises better life for Oloje community
The Deputy Governor hopeful? who also regretted the low spate of infrastructural development across the state disclosed this on Wednesday while speaking with PDP supporters at the Okoh open-filed ahead of the forthcoming general elections.
According to him, "Mallam Tajudeen Sulu-Oloje started as my S.A before we later considered him for the post of commissioner due to his closeness to the grassroot. But I am surprised that he couldn't make any meaningful impact towards the growth and development of ?this area being his immediate community.
"Well, much can still be done. Let's remain committed and hopeful. On our part, if voted in, we are going to deliver ?and fulfill all promises and if we don't, God will judge us. What we are doing today is making covenant and by the grace of God, we shall not let you down. Your destiny is in your hands, let's work towards freeing ourselves and generations yet unborn from economic and political slavery."
He however urged supporters not engage in acts capable ?of truncating the ongoing nascent democracy adding they should vote massively for PDP in all elective positions in February. Aluko therefore presented Hon. BabanSule Olokobi for the seat of Kwara State House assembly even as he promised to give the abandoned mosque in the area adequate attention.
Earlier, a PDP chieftain, Hon. Yekeen Alajagusi, had congratulated the youths and women of the area for summoning the courage of yearning for change in the face of intimidation, oppression and injustice from the APC members in the area. He however advised them to ensure ?the prompt collection of their Permanent Voters' Card in order perform their civic right of voting out APC led government in the next election and also warned? them act thuggery and hooliganism before, during and after the polls.
Speakers at the event appealed to the PDP candidate for supports pointing out that lack of electricity, portable, road and access to education as the major problems confronting the people of the area.
