Tornadoes keeps hope alive by beating Kwara United FC
As Uwua dedicate victory to his drive Niger Tornadoes FC of Minna kept their promotion hope alive with an emphatic 2-0 victory over Kwara United FC of Ilorin.
The match was week 24 of the Nigeria National League (NNL) group A played at the Bako Kontagora Memorial Stadium Minna, over the week end.
Tornadoes Technical Adviser, Godwin Uwua reacting after the match said that he has dedicated the victory to his official driver Malam Ado Adamu who lost his daughter through motor accident about an hour before the commencement of the game.
Uwua also appreciated the management and the overwhelming support that the team got from the teeming supporters at the stadium.
He commended the performance of his boys who took the bull by its horns and displayed good soccer artistry which made the stadium go frenzy.
“The game was good, but I dedicate the match to driver that his daughter was knocked down today by a vehicle and died.
“I also dedicate the game to the players and the management of the club as well as the supporters and fans for the massive support and encouragement the team received and propelled us to victory”, he said.
He assured that the team will continue to maintain the current tempo and ensure that it records good results in her remaining fixtures and get the promotion it deserved.
The former assistant Super Eagles Coach said that he was now focusing on upcoming away match against Sokoto United.
Tornadoes dominated the game from the blast of the whistle and shrugged off their 3-1 disappointment lost in the week 23 encounter against Ranchers Bees in Kaduna to win the match and stay 7 points behind group leader Wiki Tourists and 2 points behind Kwara United to stay third on the log.

Kwara gathered back their momentum but it was already too late and Tornadoes tighten up their defence and ensure they cruise into victory to stay in touch among promotion hopeful.
