NNL: 'No special training for Kwara United'

Date: 2014-02-21

As the Nigeria National League enters Week 2 across both groups, Kogi United Coach, Fatai Osho, says he is prepared for his side’s date with Kwara United in Ilorin tomorrow.

Osho admitted that the encounter tagged “North Central Derby” would be a tough challenge, but said the tradition of his team’s tactics would not be affected.

“We reckon with the tough status of the game but will not deviate from our own way of playing,” the coach said.

“Of course, we will not be carried away with the home win over Ranchers Bees last week,” he added.

The youthful gaffer said he had learnt useful lessons from the league’s opener and would adapt them to the Ilorin game.

“There will be no room for complacency, distraction and mistakes,” Osho said, stressing, “Our goal of securing a ticket to the Nigeria Premier League next season is intact and we have to demonstrate this every week all the way, banking on the support from Kogi State government, management and fans.”
