Sallah: Kwara Police appeals to public

The Kwara state police command has appealed to the people to be law abiding as Muslims set for Sallah celebration.

The Police Public Relation Officer(PPRO),Mr Femi Fabode made the appeal in a telephone interview with The Herald on the command's preparation toward the festivity .

The police image maker while expressing the force's readiness to manage and control all forms of crimes during the period of the festival, mentioned that men of the command are fully prepared to perform their  duties diligently.

Fabode  urged the people to always report people with suspicious characters to the nearest police station, warning them not to take law into their hands.

The PRO informed that the police would work with all relevant stakeholders to ensure a hitch-free Sallah celebration and wished the people of the state happy celebration.

In a related development, an Ilorin based Islam cleric ,Ustaz Musbau Qudus appealed to all security agencies in the state to ensure that the existing peace in the state is well maintained especially during Sallah period.

Ustaz Qudus in an exclusive interview with The Herald also advised the people to keep to the directive given by the security agencies during the celebration.

While urging parents to take proper care of the children when they are going to the praying ground, Qudus charged the people to always assist the security operatives with all necessary information that could assist them in the discharge of their duty
