Akeem Aiyedun doles out 22 vehicles, 95 motorcycles, others

A member of the House of Representatives representing Ekiti/Isin/Oke-Ero/Irepodun Federal constituency of Kwara State, Akeem Aiyedun, has donated items worth millions of naira to people of his constituency.

The items included 95 motorcycles, 22 vehicles, 45 hair dryers, 45 grinding machines, 45 clippers, 45 generating sets, 45 sewing machines as well as cash donation to artisans, market women, motorcycle (okada) riders, youths, transporters, elders, among others.

Flagging off the empowerment programme in Omu-Aran, Irepodun Local Government Area of the state, the lawmaker explained that the gesture was targeted at alleviating poverty among his people and supporting government’s initiative at empowering the less privileged.

In his address, former governor of the state, Dr. Bukola Saraki, who is the state PDP leader, assured that the state government and the party would continually place high premium on the welfare of the people.
