NPFL: Kwara United will Bounce Back, Says Unuanel

Date: 2013-03-23

Coach of Kwara United Samson Unuanel has assured fans of the club his side will start winning games in the Nigeria Professional Football League.

United have played two games so far this season, earning two points and scoring one goal.

In the beginning

They began their 2013 NPFL campaign with a goalless draw against ABS, and were forced to a one all draw with Sunshine Stars in a week two game last Wednesday.

“I believe in these boys to turn the table around. They will improve and start scoring goals in subsequent matches,” Unuanel told futaa.com.

Untrue story

The former Enyimba coach however denied report he was set to sack bulk of the players in the club for their below-expectation-performance so far this season.

“I want to deny the report. I did not threaten to sack any player, we had many chances that we failed to convert, but I did not say I will sack some players.”

Kwara United will travel to Port Harcourt, where they will be hosted by Sharks FC in a week three game on Sunday.
