Senator Abubakar Bukola Saraki has endorsed the staging of Dr. Abubakar Sola Saraki U-18 memorial soccer competition by the Emirate Youth Sports.

Emirate Youth Sports are the organizers of the annual Waziri soccer competition among youth teams from the 16 Local Government Areas of the state, and planned to continue with the competition to immortalize the late political icon.

Accrding to the Chairman of Emiate Youth Sports, Alhaji Ali Olola, the memorial competition has received the blessing of Senator Abubakar Bukola Saraki, who is representing Kwara Central in the National Assembly.

It would be recalled that the Kwara state government, under the able leadership of Governor AbdulFatah Ahmed last month endorsed the competition.

The latest edition of the competition would hold between May 1-17 at Baruten Township stadium in Baruten Local Government Area of the state.

Meanwhile, the Main Organising Committee (MOC), headed by Alhaji Ali Olola will tomorrow inspect facilities put forward by Baruten Local Government to host the Waziri memorial competition.

Olola said that the team will inspect the stadium, hostels that will accommodate the players and officials and other ficilities during theirt tour of Baruten.
