The one minute silence was witnessed by commanders in the area formations of the command and other senior police personnel in the state.

Vanguard  reliably gathered at the police headquarters that said the late Asadu was in his hometown to take his wife to the ongoing Police Games festival in Port Harcourt because of the directive that they must attend with their wives.

At the police headquarters along Ahmadu Bello way,Vanguard also observed that the police flag beside the nation’s flag in the police headquarters, was flown at half mast.

Speaking with journalists, the Kwara state Deputy Commissioner of Police, Abdullahi Bube, said the police command had concluded arrangement to send a delegation that would be led by Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) to Amorji Nike, Enugu, the home town of the slain police boss, on Tuesday.

He also described the late CP as hard-working, dutiful and simple officer, saying one may not identify him as a Police commissioner until he was introduced as such.
