Omu-Aran Development Association Welcomes Approval of Military Barracks
The Omu-Aran Development Association (ODA) has commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq for approving the establishment of a new military barracks in Omu-Aran, Irepodun Local Government Area of Kwara State.
The association described the development as a major step towards strengthening security in Kwara South and addressing emerging security challenges across the region.
In a statement issued by its President, Prince Niyi Adeyeye, the association said the military barracks would improve the protection of lives and property, promote lasting peace and create an enabling environment for socio-economic development.
Adeyeye praised Governor AbdulRazaq for his collaboration with the Federal Government in advancing security initiatives aimed at safeguarding communities across Kwara State.
He also commended the Olomu of Omu-Aran, Oba AbdulRaheem Oladele Adeoti, for what he described as the monarch's visionary leadership and commitment to the safety of Omu-Aran and neighbouring communities.
The ODA president expressed appreciation to the Founder of Living Faith Church Worldwide, Bishop David Oyedepo, for his support towards securing the approval for the military facility.
He also acknowledged the contributions of the member representing Ekiti/Isin/Irepodun/Oke-Ero Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Tunji Ajuloopin, and the Chairman of Irepodun Local Government Area, Hon. AbdulAzeez Tinuola, for their collaborative efforts.
"The security of lives and property remains the foremost responsibility of every responsible government. This approval is a testament to the commitment of the Federal Government under the leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to fulfilling that responsibility," Adeyeye said.
The association expressed optimism that the establishment of the military barracks would strengthen security architecture in Kwara South and support sustainable development across the area.
