University of Offa Celebrates Founder, Chief Rasaq Omoniyi Oyewale, PhD On 74th Birthday Anniversary

The Management, Governing Council, Senate, staff, students, academic and non-academic communities of the University of Offa (UNIOFFA), Kwara State celebrate our Founder, Dr. (Chief) Rasaq Omoniyi Oyewale, B.Sc. (Business Administration), M.Sc. Unilag, Ph.D. (Public Administration) OAU, Ile-Ife, on the joyous occasion of his 74th birthday anniversary.

Dr. Oyewale, Babalaje of Offaland, remains one of the most outstanding indigenous investors in education and human capital development in Nigeria.

His life journey reflects uncommon vision, resilience, enterprise, and commitment to the advancement of society through knowledge and empowerment.

He's born on May 25, 1952 and his remarkable story began in Offa, Kwara State, where he developed early values of diligence, discipline, and entrepreneurship from his family background.

His educational journey took him through St. Mark Primary School, Anglican Comprehensive College, Offa, and later to the prestigious University of Lagos where he earned a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and a Master's degree.

In pursuit of continuous learning and academic excellence, he further obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Public Administration from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife.

He also holds several professional qualifications, including DIPM, Inst.M, M.CAM, and PGDE, underscoring his passion for scholarship, leadership, and professional development.

Over the decades, Dr. Oyewale has distinguished himself as an accomplished entrepreneur, administrator, philanthropist, and educational pioneer.

He established several educational institutions that have transformed countless lives and expanded access to quality education across Nigeria through his visionary leadership.

These include the Omolabake Group of Schools, The School of Preliminary Studies Offa, College of Education, Ilemona, Best School of Health Technology, Offa, The Polytechnic Ojoku, and ultimately the University of Offa, which is a citadel of learning founded to nurture future leaders, innovators, and nation builders.

Beyond education, Dr. Oyewale has made significant contributions to Nigeria's business landscape through investments that have created employment opportunities and stimulated socio-economic growth in Kwara State and beyond.

His strides in commerce, enterprise development, and community advancement continue to inspire generations of entrepreneurs and professionals.

As Founder of the University of Offa, Dr. Oyewale's enduring legacy is reflected in the institution's commitment to academic excellence, moral integrity, innovation, and societal impact.

His vision has continued to shape the university into a fast-growing centre of learning dedicated to producing globally competitive graduates.

Today, as he celebrates 74 impactful years of life, service, and achievement, the University community joins family members, associates, traditional institutions, friends, and well-wishers across the world in honouring a man whose life embodies purpose, humility, excellence, and compassion.

We pray that Almighty Allah grants Dr. (Chief) Rasaq Omoniyi Oyewale continued good health, wisdom, peace, and many more fruitful years in service to humanity.
