Coach Sanni Blames Kwara United's Loss to Bendel Insurance on Concentration Lapse

Date: 2024-11-25

Kwara United head coach, Tunde Sanni, has attributed his team's 3-1 defeat to Bendel Insurance at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium in Benin City on Saturday to a lapse in concentration.

The loss marked the end of a three-game unbeaten streak for the Ilorin-based Harmony Boys. Nazir Mohammed netted twice for the hosts, while Austin Ogunye added another goal. Kwara United’s lone goal came from forward Emmanuel Ogbole.

“It was a bad day in the office. Despite our efforts and the fact that we played better in some phases, lapses in concentration cost us dearly,” Sanni told the club’s media.

“This team rarely concedes goals, let alone three. I can’t attribute it to fatigue, but the outcome is disappointing.”

Kwara United dropped to ninth position on the table following the defeat.
