KWASRRA Exercise: Local Government Workers Directed to Register Across Kwara

The Kwara State Government has directed all staff under the payroll of the state's Local Government Service to register with the Kwara State Residents Registration Agency (KWASRRA). This registration exercise will take place across the 16 Local Government Council Secretariats.

Alhaji Umar Danladi Shero, the Executive Chairman of the Kwara State Local Government Service Commission and Local Government Pension Board, clarified in a statement that the initiative aims to obtain accurate staff data and gather essential information for effective policy formulation. He emphasized that the exercise is not intended to target or penalize any officer.

The Executive Chairman further made it known that all the necessary arrangements have been put in place to ensure a hitch free registration exercise having earlier sent a circular to all the 16 councils.

Alhaji Umar however said any staff who decides to make his or herself unavailable for the exercise will be considered as an illegitimate officer of the council. Reiterating this, he noted that the new policy by the state government of 'No Registration No Salary and Bonus' will not be hessitated to be applied.
