25 Arrested by EFCC Over Suspected Internet Scams

Operatives of the Ilorin Zonal Command of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) have apprehended 25 individuals on charges related to suspected internet fraud.

The arrests occurred during two separate sting operations at various locations in Ilorin, Kwara State, based on credible intelligence regarding the activities of the alleged fraudsters within the state.

According to News report from Leadership, items seized from the suspects include six luxury cars, various brands of phones, and laptops.

A statement signed by the EFCC's head of Media and Publicity, Dele Oyewale, indicated that the suspects will face court proceedings upon the conclusion of ongoing investigations.
