UNILORIN CPSS honours Gambari, Ali, Zulum, others April 24

According to a report from UNILORIN BULLETIN, the Centre for Peace and Strategic Studies at the University of Ilorin is gearing up to honor distinguished Nigerians for their significant contributions to peace promotion and sustainability across Nigeria. Scheduled for Wednesday, April 24, 2024, the event will take place at the University Main Auditorium, starting from 10:00 a.m.

The Director of the Centre, Prof. Abdulganiyu Ibrahim Jawondo, conveyed in a statement to UNILORIN BULLETIN that the awards ceremony aims to recognize individuals who have made remarkable efforts in fostering peace within the country. Prof. Jawondo, a former Head of the Department of History and International Studies, emphasized the importance of acknowledging these contributions to the nation's peace-building efforts.

Heading the event will be Prof. Sulyman Olatunji Adeyemi, a former Vice Chancellor of the Federal University of Technology, Minna. Joining him as the Special Guest of Honour will be the Governor of Kwara State and Chairman of the Nigeria Governors Forum (NGF), Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, CON. Additionally, the Vice Chancellor of the University of Ilorin, Prof. Wahab Olasupo Egbewole, SAN, will serve as the Chief Host, further underscoring the significance of the occasion.

As the date draws nearer, anticipation mounts for an inspiring event that celebrates the dedication and commitment of these outstanding individuals to promoting peace and harmony in Nigeria.
