Date: 2024-04-20

According to a report from Royal News, the Zone 8 of the Police Community Relation Committee (PCRC) has made the poignant decision to postpone its 40th-anniversary celebration as a mark of respect for the late Sen. Rafiu Ibrahim Adebayo.

Comprising Kwara and Kogi states, the PCRC announced this decision in a statement issued to the media by its National Chairman, Alhaji Magaji Ibrahim Olaniyan, through National Assistant Auditor, Alhaji Muhammad Uthman Jagunma.

Sen. Ibrahim, a distinguished Senator representing Kwara South Senatorial District during the 8th Senate and a patron of PCRC in Kwara State, was hailed as a shining example of selflessness, compassion, and dedication to humanity. His immense contributions to nation-building, conflict resolution, and community development left an indelible mark on society.

Alhaji Muhammad Uthman Jagunma, speaking on behalf of PCRC, described Sen. Ibrahim as a champion of peace, justice, and equality, whose legacy will endure through the lives he touched and the positive impact he made.

While commemorating its 40th anniversary, Zone 8 chose to honor the memory of Sen. Ibrahim, recognizing his significant role in the organization and his outstanding service to the community.

Alhaji Magaji, the National Chairman, urged Nigerians to emulate Sen. Ibrahim's humanitarian deeds and continue his legacy of supporting the less privileged and addressing security challenges. He expressed confidence that Sen. Ibrahim's legacy would serve as a beacon of inspiration for future generations.

In this time of mourning, the PCRC extends heartfelt condolences to Sen. Ibrahim's family and loved ones, praying that they find solace in the love and support surrounding them.
