Dear Dr Oloriegbe,
Allow me to extend my most sincere greetings on the occasion of your 63rd birthday. Today, I find it imperative to express my profound appreciation and admiration for the exceptional individual that you are. Not only have you been a brother to me, but also a mentor and a true source of inspiration. Despite the passage of time and our physical distance, our intermittent correspondence has allowed me to closely follow your invaluable contributions to our nation's development. Your accomplishments are truly commendable.
As the Chairman of the Senate Committee on Health in the 9th Senate, you have achieved remarkable feats. Within a mere four years, you successfully spearheaded the implementation of the National Mental Health Act (NMHA 2021), Nigerian Medical Research Council Act (NMRCA), and the National Health Insurance Act (NHIA 2023). Your unwavering dedication and resolute commitment to enhancing our healthcare system have not gone unnoticed. I am genuinely proud to call you my elder brother. Your humility, simplicity, and political acumen are truly admirable, and you have represented us with utmost honor. I extend my heartfelt gratitude to you.
Throughout the years, you have served as a guiding light, leading by example and imparting upon us the significance of perseverance and determination. Your passion to serve is contagious, inspiring countless individuals, including myself, to strive for excellence in our respective endeavors.
The wisdom and knowledge you have shared with me are invaluable, and I am deeply grateful for the countless lessons you have imparted. Your guidance has played an instrumental role in shaping the person I am today, and I shall forever remain indebted to you for your unobtrusive mentorship.
Beyond your professional achievements, you have consistently served as a pillar of strength and support. Your kindness, compassion, and love have touched the lives of all those fortunate enough to be in your presence. Your selflessness and willingness to extend a helping hand are qualities that I deeply admire.
On this day, I extend my sincerest wishes for good health, happiness, and continued success in all your future endeavors. May Allah adorn your path with boundless joy, fulfillment, and an abundance of blessings. As you celebrate your 63rd birthday, please know that you are cherished and esteemed not only by me, but by all those whose lives you have profoundly impacted, especially the millions of health care professionals, patients and their families.
Thank you for being an extraordinary ambassador of Ilorin, a mentor par excellence, and an exemplary role model. The magnitude of your influence on our lives is immeasurable, and I shall forever be grateful for your presence. May this birthday herald the commencement of a new chapter, replete with even greater achievements and unbridled happiness.
Happy birthday, Dr. Oloriegbe!
With utmost love and admiration,
