Kwara INEC Gets New Administrative Secretary

With just four days to the Governorship and House of Assembly elections in Kwara State, North Central Nigeria, a new Administrative Secretary has been appointed for the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in the state.

He is Mallam Shehu Maiyanga who hails from Kogi State.

The new Administrative Secretary took over the mantle of leadership from Mr. Julius Yagba who is retiring from service.

Until his appointment, Maiyanga was the Head of Department (HoD), General Administration and Procurement (GAP) in Nasarawa State.

Maiyanga, joined the commission in 1988 and had worked at INEC offices in Benue and Kogi States and was an electoral officer in Asa Local Government Area of Kwara State during the 2011 general elections.

Both the incoming and the outgoing Administrative Secretaries have however signed the handling over and taking over notes respectively.
