COVID-19: IEYDA donates N100, 000 to Ilorin Emirate Palliative Committee

In a bid to fight coronavirus pandemic in Ilorin Emirate, the Ilorin Emirate Youth Development Association has donated the sum of one hundred thousand naira to the Ilorin Emirate Palliative to cushion the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic lockdown in Ilorin emirate.

This is contained in a statement signed by the IEYDA Fund Raising Chairman, Alhaji Ibrahim Mujeeb Erubu and the IEYDA Chairman, Technical Commitee on COVID-19, Mallam Salman Olaitan Abdulrasaq Jimba in Ilorin.

The statement said the donation is in addition to what the Associations is doing since the commencement of the restricted by current total lockdown in a bid to contain the spread of the dreaded coronavirus.

The Ilorin Emirate Youth Development Association noted that the total lockdown had affected the means of livelihood of the people, particularly at this period which preludes the commencement of the sacred month of Ramadan.

The IEYDA commended the Emir of Ilorin for setting up Palliative Committee to find succor for the less privileged in the society in a bid to cushion the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic lockdown in the state.

The also felicitate with Muslims on this year's Ramadan fasting stressing that the people of Ilorin should remain steadfast in prayers for eliminate COVID-19, continued peace and prosperity in the Ilorin emirate and the state in general.

It will recalled that the Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari constituted the Ilorin Emirate Palliative Committee co-headed by the chairman 2019 Ilorin Emirate Dubar Commitee, Engineer Yahaya Alapasanpa and the National President of Ilorin Emirate Descendants Progressive Union, Alhaji Uthman Baba-Otta.
