The Kwara State Association of Local Government of Nigeria ALGON has been commended for its understanding and good rapport with Kwara Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture in the recent times.
The former Secretary to the Kwara State Government and Chairman of the 6th Kwara Trade Fair, Mr. Timothy Tunde Oyawoye, made this commendation while welcoming the Chairman of Kwara State ALGON, Dr. Adebayo Ishola, who was represented by the Public Relations Officer of the organization, Architect Akin-George Obaoye, into the main Committee of the 6th Kwara Trade Fair held at the new Secretariat of KWACCIMA Afon junction Ilorin.

Mr. Oyawoye said he was optimistic that with the ALGON being represented on the Trade Fair Committee, things will work with this year Trade Fair.
He said with the coming on board of ALGON into closeness with KWACCIMA there would be improvement and cordial relationship with KWACCIMA in Trade Fair matters henceforth. This will also allow both organizations to jointly unlock the economic potentials of Kwara State for sustainable development, which is the theme of this year Trade Fair.
Mr. Oyawoye reminded the ALGON above the debt it owned KWACCIMA last year on Trade Fair and urged their representative to help facilitate the payment so that it would allow KWACCIMA to upset some of its outstanding commitments.
On this year Trade Fair, Mr. Oyawoye urged the Local Government to participate fully so as to showcase the economic potentials of their local governments.
According to Mr. Oyawoye, local governments in the northern part of the country
including the area councils from Abuja have signified their interest to participate in the coming Trade Fair in Kwara State, saying that if it is so, while then will the Kwara State ALGON would be dragging their feet.
Responding on behalf of the Chairman of ALGON in the state, its Publication Relations Officer, who doubled as the Chairman of Oke-Ero Local Government Area, Architect Akin-George Obaoye, thanked KWACCIMA particularly Mr. Oyawoye for considering the ALGON to be part and parcel of this year 6th Kwara Trade Fair.
This invitation according to him will further cement the relationship with KWACCIMA not only on Trade Fair matters but in all other activities of the two organizations.
Architect Obaoye promised to relate fully to the ALGON all the requests of KWACCIMA which he promised they will look into it critically and report back soonest.
He said the major problems facing the local governments in Kwara State is lack of funds adding that to even pay the staff salary has been a big task talk less of financing any other meaningful projects.
