Senate President Abubakar Bukola Saraki yesterday distributed cash gifts to 630 victims of flood disaster in his senatorial district, Kwara Central.

The cash was disbursed to the beneficiaries at a brief ceremony at his constituency office, Ilorin.

"Our political leader and Senate President deemed it fit to assist the recent flood victims across Kwara central without minding which political part they belong Dr Abubakar Bukola Saraki is passionate about the wellbeing and welfare of his people as their leader, hence, his decision to assist the flood victims," Abdullahi said.

He, however, asked the beneficiaries to reciprocate the gesture by voting for the Peoples Democratic Party during the 2019 presidential elections.

Responding, two of the beneficiaries, Alhaji Yusuf Jimoh and Alhaja Adijat Baki, thanked Saraki for the gesture.
