Christmas 2017: Rt Hon Atunwa calls for renewal of hope

Date: 2017-12-25

Congratulations to all Christian faithfuls in Nigeria as they celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ.

The birth of Jesus signals new hope. I pray that this message of hope finds strong expression in the lives of Nigerians celebrating this Christmas and beyond. We should pray that our Government be able to alleviate the current hardship faced by the masses.

I call on Nigerians this season to demonstrate this renewal of hope by uniting as one to work for Nigeria's progress.

As you celebrate, be reminded of the less privileged, many of whom on this day are without hope, and need the kindness and compassion of those around them.

I also urge us to remember our men and women in uniform particularly those who are stationed around the country and beyond today protecting our freedoms, and cannot be with their own spouses, children, parents, and siblings to celebrate.

Merry Christmas and Prosperous 2018 ahead!

Rt Hon Razak Atunwa
